Low-Fat Whole Wheat Pancakes
These pancakes are great tasting and Alli friendly! I made them for breakfast and topped them with fruit. I perfected these whole wheat pancakes after testing batches and batches until they were just right. Everything a whole wheat pancake should be – fluffy, low-fat , and tasty!
Makes: 5 servings (1 serving=2 pancakes)
Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 2/3 cups whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup skim milk
- 1 tbs brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup apple sauce
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Directions
- Mix all ingredients. Pre-heat griddle to 400*F and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- Pour onto hot griddle using 1/4 cup measuring cup.
- When air bubbles pop, turn once.
Freezes well too!
